Connecticut man charged in sex crime involving teenage boy

Anytime a person in the Stamford area has been arrested or charged with a sex crime of any kind it can affect that person forever. Sometimes, just the stigma of being charged with a sex crime can be bad enough. Even if a person is exonerated the charges can still have a negative affect on his or her life, especially when the situation involves a child.

Authorities have arrested a college professor at Western Connecticut State for alleged sexual contact with a minor. The73-year-old man was arrested in New York after allegations that he had sexual contact with the young man who he allegedly met online. The man has been charged with a criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a minor. Reportedly the boy is younger than 17.

According to reports, the man met the boy over the Internet and the alleged sexual contact took place at the boy’s home in Somers, New York. It has not been reported whether or not the man has any legal representation at this time. The man was still in custody at the time of this report in Westchester County. He was being held without bail.

If the man in this case is convicted of these crimes he obviously faces serious consequences, which could affect him for the rest of his life. If the man has not contacted a criminal defense attorney by now then he should probably do so as soon as possible. Anyone in Fairfield County who is facing a similar situation should probably do the same.
